Consistently Improving Capital Market Literacy, MNC Asset Management MNC Sekuritas and BEI Riau Islands Representative Office Give Mutual Fund School Webinar

Jakarta, April 9, 2022 - Consistent in supporting capital market literacy, PT MNC Kapital Indonesia Tbk (BCAP) through its two subsidiaries, namely, MNC Asset Management and MNC Sekuritas in collaboration with the Indonesia Stock Exchange, Riau Islands Representative Office held a mutual fund capital market school webinar. The webinar which was held on Saturday, April 9, 2022 with the title “Mutual funds : easy and profitable investment” was attended by participants from various types of work backgrounds.

In the webinar, material on understanding the capital market and the ins and outs of mutual fund investment is presented. Mutual funds are very suitable for novice investors, because apart from the affordable nominal investment, risk diversification from the lowest to the highest is also available.

Director of MNC Asset Management, Edwin J. Sebayang, who was also a resource person in this webinar said "Investment is one of the efforts to be better prepared to face retirement, holding this webinar is also to support increasing public literacy about the capital market, especially mutual funds."

According to Edwin, before investing in mutual funds, first identify the investment objectives, understand the risks of mutual fund investments, and learn about the instruments of mutual funds, therefore this webinar is expected to add new insights about mutual funds in the community.

Meanwhile, the Daily Executive of the Head of the Riau Islands Representative Office at the Indonesia Stock Exchange, Indra Novita also said that the level of capital market literacy starts with a wise attitude in managing personal finances. From there, if all people have started to be wise in managing their finances, the level of awareness of investing can be higher, such as the use of mutual fund investment products.

"Before buying mutual funds, the first step we have to do is understand what our respective risk profiles are before allocating them," said Indra.
